How the petTracer system works

Inside a petTracer set you will find a collar and a HomeStation:

The HomeStation is the the receiver and charging station. If you have more than one cat you can include additional collars with your petTracer Set. A single HomeStation can operate up to five collars.
How it works:
  1. The petTracer collar receives the GPS coordinates from the GPS satellites 🛰
  2. The coordinates are then transmitted from the collar to your HomeStation via radio technology 📡
  3. The HomeStation forwards the coordinates through the internet to the petTracer portal so you can access them via the app from anywhere in the world 📲

Devices with GPS are only accurate when they are in direct line with the sky. For this reason we have created a system that can also be used when there is poor or no GPS reception. This can be vital for when your cat is trapped inside a building e.g. a house, shed, garage or boot of a car.
