Windows 10 Driver Installation Guide

Note: This article is for collars and HomeStations with serial numbers below 20000

In most instances the Wi-Fi Configurator Software will recognise the HomeStation right away. if this is not the case then do the following:

Leave the HomeStation connected for a few minutes as the driver might be downloading in the background. After a few minutes, unplug the HomeStation, re-start the Configuration Software and follow the instructions once again. If the HomeStation is still not recognised you will need to download the driver. A driver is a small piece of software that tells your computer how to communicate with a specific hardware device, in this case our HomeStation.

Downloading the driver

1. Visit our support site and choose the appropriate driver: https://portal.pettracer.com/support

2. Download the zip file and save it on your hard drive (Do NOT open and install the file directly from your web browser). This is the main reason why the driver installation is unsuccessful.

3. Unzip the zip file (right-click on the folder and choose: "Extract All").

4. Now you can run the installation file (CP210xVCPInstaller_64) and install the driver

5. After successful installation, restart the Wi-Fi Configurator Software, reconnect the HomeStation when prompted and proceed with the configuration. The HomeStation should now be recognised.
