Different views of GPS positions on the map
On the bottom right of the portal you can change the way you view your cat's whereabouts:
Heat Map: The more GPS positions in a certain area the "hotter" this area becomes. Red means very hot, therefore a lot of GPS position readings. It indicates that your cat loves these places and spends a lot of time there. Yellow means fewer GPS positions, yet still a common visiting place. No colour means no positions have been recorded.
Find your cat's natural territory by combining the Heat Map view and adjusting the time intervals as shown in this article: Location History and Natural Territory
Points: Each GPS position is displayed individually as a point. If you move the mouse over a point, a field appears with the exact date and time of the GPS position reading. This is one of the best ways to find your cat's whereabouts at a specific time and the recommended view when searching for your cat.
Line: The GPS positions are connected by lines. The stronger the colour, the more up-to-date the positions. This gives a good overview of the paths your cat takes.
Timescale:
You can change the timescale so you can see where your cat has been at a specific time. There are some pre-determined timescales but if you click on Individually you'll be able to specify your own time and date.
